A serious accident has occurred at Towei corner involving a truck with the registration number UBP 641S.
The truck, which was carrying empty crates of beer belonging to Nile Breweries, lost control while attempting to navigate the sharp turn.
The community turned up in large numbers to rescue the situation, A lady that was carrying a baby on her back moving along the road sustained serious injuries from crates of beer and the baby got no injuries as the mother was rushed to Sipi HC.
After an hour-long rescue operation, the driver has been successfully extricated from the truck and is alive. He has so far been rushed to Kapchorwa Main Hospital for medical treatment.
