Kapchorwa: The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Kapchorwa Mr. Kiplangat has been reposted to Bududa in an administrative reshuffle that comes as a significant shakeup. Mr. Kiplangat has worked in Kapchorwa for a year after being appointed as the CAO for Kapchorwa in the administrative capacity, and has overseen a lot of the administration in Kapchorwa.

Mr. Kiplangat started his public service career immediately after completing university education, during the time when Sebei was still one district unified as Kapchorwa district, as he recounts. This marked another milestone for Mr. Kiplangat when Bukwo was created out of Kapchorwa, and he became the first acting CAO for Bukwo. This role marked the starting of the rise of Mr. Kiplangat through different administrative roles, and by the time he left Bukwo, he was made a Deputy CAO before the subsequent transfers to different districts.

Mr. Kiplangat has shown an unwavering commitment to good governance and community development throughout his career. His leadership has been pivotal in facilitating the implementation of key policies and projects to help the community grow in the different areas he’s been in.

In a comment about his change, Mr. Kiplangat said, “This is a normal transfer, and I am not pointing fingers at anyone.” His calm and professional behavior in the wake of his transfer signifies his experience and knowledge of administrative procedure and the local authority climate.

As Mr. Kiplangat nears sixty years old, with less than five years to hit the mark, Mr. Kiplangat’s repost to Bududa in his career is another chapter. Kapchorwa residents will surely feel the impact of his leadership, while the community of Bududa anticipates the benefits of the experience and insights that Mr. Kiplangat brings to Bududa.

It has not been made clear to us so far who his replacement will be but sources say he might be in the district later this week for a familiarization tour.
