Stanbic Bank Kapchorwa donates Medical Equipment worth Ugx10M to Kabelyo HCII

Stanbic bank Kapchorwa recently donated an assortment of maternal health equipment worth Ugx 10Million to Kabelyo Health Centre II. The items included a modern delivery bed and mama kits to support pregnant mothers in ensuring safe motherhood.

For the past three years, the bank has designated October as it’s LOVE month during which it celebrates their customers and engages in activities that give back to the community.

Stanbic bank Kapchorwa also had a financial literacy session with selected customers within Kapchorwa aimed at fostering knowledge and skills essential for effectively managing finances. This topics covered include (but not limited to) budgeting, saving, investing, borrowing, and understanding complex financial products.

Ms. Phylis Cherukut, the branch manager Stanbic bank, Kapchorwa said the L.O.V.E month initiative will help strengthen the health sector given the number of pregnant women Kabelyo HCII serves. She revealed that according to statistics, the HCII receives over 4000 expectant women and the second delivery bed will go a long way in saving the community even as it improves on the health and well-being of the babies.

Speaking on behalf of the DHO Kween, Dr. Leonard Cheptoyek appreciated the bank’s contribution, saying it would bridge the gap in the maternity wing of the health center hence significantly enhancing service delivery. He also encouraged staff members to choose stanbic bank for all their financial transactions.

He further congratulated Kabelyo Health Centre II for coming second after Kaproron HCIV in the performance 2023/2024. Dr. Leonard also appreciate the Anglican church for supporting and staffing Kabelyo Health Centre II which has significantly enabled it carryout maternity services.

Receiving the donation, the health in charge of Kabelyo HCII expressed her gratitude. “We thank Stanbic Bank for this generous support. This contribution will not only provide help to the local community within Kabelyo but also contribute to the long-term health and well-being of the mothers from all over kween district” she said.

Being a church founded institution, Rev Julius Aliwa, the diocesan secretary of Sebei Diocese on behalf of Bishop Paul Masaba Kiptoo appreciated stanbic for the kind gesture;
