Kapchorwa district will host this year’s National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) celebrations and, on the same day(NEMA), will be Launching Mt Elgon Conservation Project.
Mt Elgon Conservation Project covers nine districts of Kapchorwa, Kween. Bukwo, Bulambuli, Sironko, Mbale, Bududa, and Namusindwa.
500 hundred guests have been invited, which include the Minister and Ministry officials of Water and Environment, Partners, NEMA, RDCs, LCVs, CAOs, NROs, and the local leaders from Kapchorwa

Before the D-day, we shall have NEMA walkers, starting their journey on 13th May from Kampala and arriving Kapchorwa on the 21st of May.
On the same note, from 13th May onwards, NEMA officials and Natural Resource office Kapchorwa will be restoring the river banks of Chesiberi as an experiment to be done in all the rivers where its banks have been affected.
