The Dep RDC Mr Martin Sakajja has asked all companies operating projects in Kapchorwa to fulfill their pledges as per the MOUs signed with the district.
Mr Sakajja made his remarks while in a consultative meeting organized by Sebei Hydro Uganda Ltd with key stakeholders of district leadership and technocrats at Kokhall.
He also pledged support from the presidents office to see that Uganda has enough power for its growth.
Sebei Hydro Uganda Ltd is doing a feasibility study in a bid to construct a power generating dam called Cheptui Small Hydro Electricity Project just a few meters inside Bulambuli district from Kapchorwa boundary.
Cheptui and CheseberRiverr will be merged together for better volumes but without making Cheseber dry.
The 15 million dollar project is expected to produce about 9.5 m/watts to the national grid, which will generate revenue and jobs locally.
The vice chairperson LCV madam Yeko Frida urged the developer to put into concern the issues of the wanainchi.
She also stressed the importance of supporting this project, especially in the current generation and the future where electricity is key.
